Bangkok Unitec has been performing well in recent years, and became the runners-up in Thai League 2018 and participated in Asia Champions League 2019. Hajime Hosogai(Former Japan Internstional) currently plays for Bangkok United. We interviewed Mano Pölking who has been head coach of the team since 2014.
―― Can you briefly tell us about your career?
After I stopped playing in Europe I moved to Basically all my life I was involved in football. I playec professional in Brazil, Portugal, Germany and Cyprus. In Germany I played for at highest 2.Bundesliga Team and and in Cyprus I played for APOEL, one of the most successful team recently.Then started my coaching career as an assistant coach of Winnie Schaefer, a football legend in Germany. After 5 years under him as an assistant including Al Ain(UAE) and Thailand national team, I started my own career as a head coach in Thailand clubs.
―― What brought you to this club?
After as an assistant coach in Thailand National team, I got an offer to be the head coach of Army United(Thai Premier League).After a short spell at Suphanburi(Thai Premier League) and joined Bangkok United(Thai Premier League) in 2014.
